Joymeter began with a simple question: "How do we hold onto moments of joy in a fast-paced world?" I wanted to create a digital space that fosters mindfulness and gratitude, helping users combat negative thoughts by tallying life's joyful moments. Inspired by how easily happiness can be overshadowed by daily stress, I envisioned a digital journal to preserve these fleeting moments.
The goal is to balance simplicity with meaningful engagement. How could we ensure the app felt intuitive while inspiring users to make it a daily habit?
The challenge is to create an intuitive and engaging digital solution that enables users to log, revisit, and celebrate their joyful experiences, encouraging positive thinking and fostering a habit of gratitude.
To understand how people perceive and document happiness, I conducted user interviews and surveys, focusing on their habits and challenges with reflecting on joyful moments. Insights revealed the need for a tool that is simple, personal, and visually engaging to encourage regular use. These findings directly informed the app's design, ensuring it resonated with users' emotional and practical needs.
I create detailed user personas to deeply understand my users' needs, behaviors, and pain points. This process involves gathering insights through interviews, surveys, and market research, enabling me to design solutions that truly resonate with my audience.
